About this event
The Unrecables’ May 7-9, 2027 Mammoth Mountain weekend is a member-based adaptive skiing and snowboarding trip for Southern California athletes with disabilities and volunteer instructors or assistants. The current 2026-27 schedule confirms an April 7 registration deadline and states that all dates remain subject to change. Athletes ski all day Saturday and Sunday morning, paired with volunteer adaptive instructors and assistants; the organization supports stand-up and sit-down skiing, visually impaired guiding, bi-skis, mono-skis, outriggers for 3-track and 4-track skiing, and adaptive snowboard equipment, subject to equipment and instructor availability. The current program overview says adaptive snow-sports members do not pay for instruction, adaptive equipment rental, or lift tickets, and that scholarships may be available. Membership is required, but the current trip page does not publish membership pricing or a trip-specific fee. Every athlete and volunteer must complete the correct registration form, Mammoth Mountain and Move United waivers, and an emergency form, then send completed materials to trips@unrecables.org; volunteers must also complete the readiness quiz. The organizer warns that equipment users should register early because sit-ski inventory and instructor assignments can create a waitlist. Participants arrange their own transportation and lodging, though the Trips Director may help coordinate. Exact arrival, check-in, lesson-assignment and on-snow clock times remain unpublished for this trip, so do not treat it as public drop-in access.
