About this event

The 2026 USASA Southern California Series Rail Jam 3 was a sanctioned amateur snowboard and freeski rail-jam (jib) contest held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Mountain High in Wrightwood, California. In a rail jam, riders session a terrain-park setup of rails, boxes, and jib features, taking repeated hits while judges reward the best tricks, style, and consistency across the session — a pure freestyle format that rewards creativity on features rather than big-air jumps. Riders earned USASA points toward the Southern California Series standings and the 2026 USASA national rankings that feed qualification for the USASA National Championships. The event offered 60 age-graded divisions across snowboard and freeski — from Rascal (ages 5-6) through Legend (50 & over), plus Open Class and the inclusive Kekoa and Para (adaptive) categories — making it a genuine grassroots entry point for Southern California park riders of every age and ability. Results were officially scored and published on Liveheats and the USASA regional site: 18 divisions were contested by 26 competitors. Mountain High is Southern California’s closest winter resort, located in the Angeles National Forest about an hour and a half (roughly 80 miles) from central Los Angeles and Orange County, and it hosts USASA Southern California Series stops alongside Bear Mountain each winter — making this one of the closest sanctioned snowboard/freeski contests to LA and the only 2026 SoCal Series rail jam staged at Mountain High rather than Bear Mountain. This record documents a completed event; registration and entry are closed and results are final.
