Valley SoCal Youth Ski & Snowboard Program 2027

Big Bear Mountain Resort's Valley SoCal Youth Program is a six-Friday progression package for Southern California children ages 8-12 at Snow Valley. The 2027 program meets January 15, 22 and 29 and February 5, 12 and 19. Each included child Night Session lift ticket is valid from 3:00 PM to 8:30 PM, with the coached ski or snowboard group lesson running 4:30-6:00 PM. Package A costs $319 and includes six lessons, six Night Session lift tickets and the earned season-pass benefit. Package B costs $439 and adds six days of ski or snowboard equipment rentals; the resort describes the rental upgrade as $120 plus tax. Rental participants collect equipment before checking in at Adventure Academy on the west end of the Snow Valley base area and return it by 8:30 PM. The application deadline is January 5, 2027, but the official page says capacity is subject to availability, requests are reviewed in order received and submitting the form does not guarantee placement. A parent or guardian applies online with the child's name and date of birth, guardian contact information, and one of four choices: ski lesson, snowboard lesson, ski lesson plus rental, or snowboard lesson plus rental. A BBMR representative then contacts the guardian to finalize the child's spot and purchase. Completion of participant waivers is mandatory. The program is non-refundable, non-transferable, cannot be split or shared, and alterations cannot be made after reservation. If Snow Valley closes, BBMR says it will make every effort to reschedule classes but does not guarantee availability. After a child completes the fourth lesson, BBMR says a complimentary child 2026-27 BBMR Anytime Season Pass will be issued seven days later for use at Snow Valley, Snow Summit and Bear Mountain for the rest of the season. All participants are 12 or younger, so BBMR's lesson policy requires a helmet, protected eyewear and gloves or mittens. Helmets are included with lesson-rental packages; lesson-only participants must bring one or rent separately. Guardians receive a parking or drop-off permit after approval because paid reserved parking may be active on some program dates. Resort operations, terrain and season duration remain weather- and conditions-dependent.
