About this event
USA BMX lists this exact Whittier Narrows BMX Thursday Night Thunder Racing occurrence for Thursday, October 22, 2026 at the South El Monte track. On-site registration and practice run from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, with racing scheduled for 7:15 PM. The official occurrence is active and classified as a local single-point race. Whittier Narrows’ current track-hours post lists Thursday practice and racing at $15, paid by cash or Zelle; that general post says racing at 7:10 PM, while the exact Oct. 22 occurrence says 7:15 PM, so riders should use the event-specific 7:15 PM start and confirm at the track. All riders who practice or compete on a USA BMX-sanctioned track need a membership. The track publishes a free one-day trial for a new novice rider, obtained at the track and valid for practice and single-point racing; it also lists a $40 60-day membership, $40 annual balance-bike/STACYC membership and $80 annual full membership. The national membership page likewise lists $40 Balance Bike and $80 Standard licenses. These license prices are separate from the $15 local Thursday fee. USA BMX says an approved helmet, long-sleeve shirt and long pants are the basics needed to ride; a full-face helmet is highly recommended, gloves are recommended, and new riders can use flat-soled sneakers or skate shoes. The exact event page does not publish online presign, capacity, waitlist, waiver process, minor/guardian instructions, detailed moto schedule, awards, concessions, parking fee, accessible viewing plan, rain policy, livestream or end time. Do not treat those omissions as confirmation that no rule applies. This is an outdoor dirt-track race, so check the live USA BMX schedule and @whittiernarrowsbmx before leaving, and contact the track when attendance certainty or equipment assistance matters. The retained image is a current exact first-party event-page capture with the event identity, date, address and times visible.
