About this event

The Western Winter Sports Representatives Association brings its annual California On-Snow Demo to Mammoth Mountain from Tuesday through Thursday, February 2-4, 2027. This is a working ski- and snowboard-equipment demo for verified winter-sports retailers, their employees and WWSRA members; it is not a public rental day or general-admission consumer festival. The demo lot at the base of Stump Alley Express (Chair 2), beside The Mill, runs from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM PST on all three days. Tuesday includes beer and brats from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Wednesday includes breakfast burritos from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Night-before badge pickup is Monday, February 1 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Eagle Lodge with beer and tacos while supplies last. Badge pickup then moves to the merchandise trailer near the Chair 2 lot from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday and Wednesday and from 7:00 to 10:00 AM Thursday. Attendee registration is live behind a WWSRA account login. The published attendee tiers are $35 through January 25, $45 through February 1, and $55 on site February 2-4. On-site registrants must show proof of employment and photo identification. A retail store must first request one WWSRA store account, which is reviewed and then used to register its employees. Registered and paid attendees must complete the emailed liability forms before WWSRA issues vouchers and passport badges; the forms can be signed on site, but WWSRA warns that doing so can cost mountain time. A WWSRA badge unlocks a $65-per-day Mammoth lift ticket at the ticket window near Chair 2. Lift tickets, lodging and travel are separate purchases. The passport system identifies the product categories each attendee may test. The attendee exchanges a passport badge for demo equipment, the representative holds it until return, and each product should generally be returned after one or two runs unless the sales representative agrees otherwise. Product availability is limited, and exhibitors may deny a test. WWSRA will make a go/no-go decision three days before the start if a major storm may affect travel or resort operations. If WWSRA cancels the full demo before it begins, registered participants receive full refunds within 14 days. If the demo proceeds, WWSRA does not refund changes caused by weather, road closures or resort operations. Attendee personal cancellations qualify for a full refund only when submitted at least three days before the demo. The January 17 Mammoth lodging-room-block cutoff, $65 lift-ticket offer and lodging inventory may sell out independently. Capacity, a public attendee count, skill minimum, equipment inventory by brand, helmet requirement and exact weather threshold are not published. Mammoth is included as a major Los Angeles-relevant regional event because this is the California industry demo for Southern California retailers and the on-snow product testing requires mountain terrain unavailable in the urban core.
