About this event
Aspen Gay Ski Week's signature on-mountain event, the Downhill Costume Contest, returns for the 50th-anniversary Golden Jubilee (AGSW 2027, January 17–24) at the foot of Aspen Mountain on Friday, January 22, 2027 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM. Skiers and riders in elaborate costumes make a festive downhill run and gather at the base of Aspen Mountain for one of the week's most beloved traditions. Aspen Gay Ski Week is the world's longest-running gay ski week (since 1977) and benefits AspenOUT.
