About this event

Beach to Boulders opens the SoCal League's five-race 2027 youth cross-country mountain-bike series at Lake Perris State Recreation Area on February 6-7. The organizer marks Race #1 confirmed. Current league-team calendars place middle-school racing on Saturday and high-school racing on Sunday; the organizer has not yet released the race flyer, exact staging area, pre-ride blocks, wave times, lap counts for this course, awards timing or final course files, so all daily times remain TBA. Team guidance describes Lake Perris as a comparatively nontechnical first race built around speed and endurance: a long paved climb, loose transitions, sandy beach and grass can all appear as the course changes year to year. Racing is limited to registered SoCal League riders who live in California and are enrolled in grades 6-12, including eligible homeschool students. Series races do not require a separate qualifier, but riders must be in good standing, fully registered for the season, complete the required forms and pay the race fee before racing. The Season 19 onboarding portal is open through August 31, 2027; a Beach to Boulders-specific checkout, fee, capacity, deadline and waitlist are not yet published. Spectators are welcome in the public recreation area, but the exact race footprint and access rules will come with the flyer. California State Parks currently lists winter vehicle hours of 7:00 AM-8:00 PM and a regular $10 day-use vehicle fee; entering by foot or bicycle is free, and camping is reservable separately. Event operations may override ordinary park access. Recheck the organizer race page, flyer and social channels before travel.
