Damn Am San Diego 2026 was the opening stop (Stop 1) of Skatepark of Tampa's 2026 Damn Am amateur street-skateboarding series and the tour's only West Coast round of the year, held August 28-30, 2026 at the world-class LVLUP USA park (LVLUP Academy) at 1410 Vantage Court in Vista, in northern San Diego County — roughly 80 miles south of central Los Angeles. Presented by Red Bull Skateboarding, the free three-day contest is a key rung on the Tampa Am pathway: the weekend's top 20 amateurs locked in spots to the Saturday Qualifier at Tampa Am in October, and the winner earned a Straight Shot directly to the Tampa Am Semi-Finals. Friday was open registration and practice; Saturday ran the jam-format qualifiers (two skaters per three-minute jam, top 50 advancing and the top two earning a direct shot to the finals) followed by the Red Bull Best Trick contest; Sunday brought the semi-finals (48 qualifiers plus one past LVLUP winner) and a 12-skater final decided by three one-minute runs, best run counting, before the awards. Japan's Momohei Yabushita (Osaka) won the overall, ahead of Seattle's Nels Rosen and Japan's Ichiro Tsuzuki, with a deep international and Southern California local field. Los Angeles' own Maurice Jordan won the Red Bull Best Trick over Brazil's Lucas Aquino and Rialto's Steve Gamboa. Registration is now closed and the event has ended; its ongoing value is in the published results, the SPoT Life video coverage, and its role feeding the Tampa Am road. Spectating was open to the public at the LVLUP park.
