Dirtyfest 4 — Vintage BMX Reunion Weekend 2026
About this event
Dirtyfest 4 is billed as “the world’s largest vintage BMX family reunion,” a three-day grassroots festival held June 5–7, 2026 at the Vailocity Bike Park inside Vail Lake Resort (KOA Vail Lake) on Highway 79 South east of Temecula, California. Conceived by the crew behind the Dirty Knobs Podcast and spearheaded by BMX legends Hollywood Mike Miranda, JV (James Vicente) and EC (Eric Carter) alongside Justin Shephard, it celebrates BMX’s golden years with an old-school, single-geared downhill dirt-track race (no multi-geared bikes allowed) on a course designed by Eric Carter — a 22-time National and 5-time World Champion across BMX and MTB. The weekend blends racing with a Legends Freestyle Jam, the Vans Off the Wall Footdown Championships, the ABSApro classic bike show, a Torker pit-bike derby and scooter races, a vintage BMX swap meet, vendors, live music, an ’80s party and raffle, and on-site camping. Friday opens the gates at 11:00 AM with vintage race practice, the product launch and BMX Happy Hour at the Bunkhouse Bar, the footdown championships and the Legends Freestyle Jam. Saturday runs bike inspection and practice, an opening ceremony, the first and second moto rounds, the bike show, dinner and live music, the ’80s party, and the pit-bike derby. Sunday holds a “Dirt Church” service, a final practice, the third moto round, quarter-finals, semifinals, main races and an awards ceremony. Everyone entering pays a festival wristband ($20 single-day / $30 three-day), with a separate per-vehicle KOA parking fee; camping and RV spots are booked through KOA Vail Lake. Pre-registration for racing closed ahead of the weekend and on-site race sign-up was handled Friday. This is a completed 2026 event — it is preserved here for its history, riders and vintage-BMX culture, and no registration or ticket link is active.
