LA County Skate Jam 2026

LA County Skate Jam 2026 was a free, all-ages skateboarding demo-and-competition series produced by the Los Angeles County Department of Parks & Recreation, touring eleven county skateparks across Los Angeles County from March 19 through June 26, 2026. Billed as an invitation to "roll into summer with style, music, and community spirit," each two-hour stop combined live skate demos, all-ages competitions with awards, live DJs/music, games, giveaways, and refreshments in a neighborhood-park setting. The tour is one of the few genuinely LA-core (in-county) events in the inventory, spreading across all five Supervisorial Districts with stops in South LA (Bethune Park, Franklin D. Roosevelt Park, Ted Watkins Memorial Park), the San Gabriel Valley (Pamela Park in Duarte, Avenue Park in Bassett), the Santa Clarita/Antelope Valley area (Ryan M. Clinkunbroomer Castaic Sports Complex in Castaic, George Lane Park in Lancaster), East LA (Belvedere Community Regional Park), the Crescenta Valley (Crescenta Valley Community Regional Park in La Crescenta), the Whittier area (Amelia Mayberry Park), and the South Bay (Alondra Community Regional Park in Lawndale). The eleven dated stops were: Bethune Park (Thu Mar 19, 6:00–8:00 PM), Pamela Park (Sat Mar 21, 11:00 AM–1:00 PM), Ryan M. Clinkunbroomer Castaic Sports Complex (Sat Mar 28, 11:00 AM–1:00 PM), Belvedere Community Regional Park (Thu Apr 2, 6:00–8:00 PM), Avenue Park (Thu Apr 9, 6:00–8:00 PM), George Lane (Sat Apr 18, 12:00–2:00 PM), Crescenta Valley Community Regional Park (Sat May 2, 12:00–2:00 PM), Franklin D. Roosevelt Park (Fri May 15, 4:30–6:30 PM), Amelia Mayberry Park (Fri May 22, 6:00–8:00 PM), Alondra Community Regional Park (Sat Jun 20, 12:00–2:00 PM), and Ted Watkins Memorial Park (Fri Jun 26, 4:00–6:00 PM). Admission and participation were free and open to all ages and skill levels; the county's Skate Jam page links an official interest/registration form and the LA County Parks ActiveCommunities registration portal, and same-day walk-up participation at each park was the norm. As a county skatepark program, standard park safety rules applied (helmets and pads for skatepark use, adult supervision for younger children). The series ran to completion in summer 2026; LA County Parks shared recap highlights celebrating everything "from kickflips and grinds to first-time riders finding their footing." Per-stop competition podiums/award winners were not published in a single central results table.

Open to all ages and all skill levels — from first-time riders to experienced skaters — with live demos to watch and all-ages competitions with awards to enter. As a county skatepark program the on-site rules for LA County skateparks applied. Published Skate Jam competition and demo content is skateboarding-focused; LA County skateparks generally also permit non-motorized scooters and inline/roller skates during open use, but no separate scooter or inline competition divisions were published for this series.
