About this event

The 10th Annual Labor Day at The Orchid Skatepark is a Vans and World Cup Skateboarding (WCS) mini-ramp contest, punk-rock show, and community fundraiser held on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026, at the nonprofit Orchid Skatepark on the Dos Pueblos Orchid Ranch in Goleta, California. Gates open at 12:00 PM for a full day of contest skating, live music, and food. Sanctioned and scored by World Cup Skateboarding (Don Bostick), the contest runs a mini-ramp jam across divisions — Groms 12 & under, Open Women, Open Men, Master Men, and Grandmaster Men — and is backed by a deep roster of skate-industry sponsors including Vans, Powell Peralta, Bones, Liquid Death, Skatelite, Merge 4, Juice Magazine, Lighthouse Skate Shop, Solvang Skate Shop, and M. Special. The 2026 edition features live music by punk legends The Dickies and Spider Baby. General admission is $15 with $10 parking (cash or Venmo); competitors pay a per-division entry. This is the park’s only annual fundraiser: The Orchid is a community-built, donation-based nonprofit skate and community center on a secluded 60+ acre coastal ranch (an 11,000+ sq ft indoor/outdoor skatepark alongside farm, beach, greenhouses, camping, an Airbnb, and event spaces) that blends skateboarding and roller skating with art and coastal stewardship and runs inclusive, adaptive youth programs through Triumph Skateboarding Club and SB Skate Academy. Goleta sits in Santa Barbara County, roughly 95–100 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles and immediately adjacent to TrickBook’s core Ventura County; this record is included as a regional, LA-relevant event because it is a WCS/Vans-sanctioned contest at a genuinely unique purpose-built coastal-ranch venue that draws skaters from Ventura and the greater Los Angeles area (a comparable radius to the Encinitas Exposure contest already in the inventory).
