2026 North American Adaptive Skateboarding Championship
About this event
The inaugural North American Adaptive Skateboarding Championship brings adaptive skateboarders and wheelchair-motocross (WCMX) athletes to La Quinta X Park on Saturday, December 5, 2026. World WCMX lists the public event window as 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and describes a full day of judged competition, athlete practice, non-competitive showcases, awards, vendors, sponsor activations, media coverage and community activities. The field is open internationally, including riders from the United States, Canada, Mexico and beyond. The live athlete form is accepting entries for men's and women's adaptive-skateboarding street and park; WCMX Pro Men and Pro Women; WCMX Amateur Men and Women; WCMX Youth; and WCMX Non-Competitive. Only WCMX Pro Men and Pro Women earn World Series ranking points. Pro WCMX classification affects functional scoring: riders without an approved classification on file before the event receive maximum Functional Scores and no impairment adjustment. Registration asks each athlete to disclose equipment, medical or accessibility needs and whether a pusher or spotter is required. All competitors must accept the liability waiver and athlete code of conduct; a parent or legal guardian must consent for anyone under 18. The official athlete packet requires helmets and a pre-competition equipment inspection, strongly encourages other protective gear, and says judging considers progression, control, difficulty and style. The organizer has not published an entry fee, deadline, field cap, waitlist, refund rules, detailed heat schedule, check-in time, spectator charge, parking plan, weather policy or confirmed livestream destination, so those items remain explicitly unclaimed. La Quinta X Park is a city-owned 31,000-square-foot outdoor facility with street, transition, bowl and pump-track features, restrooms, picnic tables, a pro shop, accessible athlete areas and spectator viewing space. The City lists the facility at 46170 Dune Palms Road and a normal Saturday operating window of 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM; the championship's official 9:00 AM-7:00 PM listing controls for this event.
