About this event
Palisades Tahoe has announced Opening Day for the 2026-27 season on Wednesday, November 25, 2026 — the day before Thanksgiving. The resort frames Opening Day as more than the first chair of the season: it is a celebration of skiing and riding and of the Olympic Valley / Alpine Meadows mountain community, with the lifts spinning again beneath the resort’s eight legendary peaks. Opening Day operations, including which lifts and terrain are available, are weather- and conditions-permitting, and the resort says more details on mountain operations and Opening Day festivities will be announced as November 25 approaches. This is the resort’s season kickoff; a valid lift ticket or season pass is required to ride and is separate from the celebration itself.
