PSL — Professional Skateboarding League 2026 Championship (Los Angeles)
About this event
The 2026 PSL Championship was the finale of the inaugural season of the Professional Skateboarding League (PSL), held Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Primitive Skatepark in Los Angeles (Chatsworth, in the San Fernando Valley — Los Angeles County). PSL is a brand-new, team-based professional street-skateboarding league created by skate icon Mike Mo Capaldi in collaboration with Red Bull Skateboarding, and it drew one of the heaviest street lineups ever assembled: six teams (SHS, Tropics, Wolverines, Soldiers, Los Santos and Lithium) stacked with Olympians, Skaters of the Year and legends including Paul Rodriguez, Nyjah Huston, Ishod Wair, Jamie Foy, Chris Joslin, Miles Silvas, Mark Suciu, Kyle Walker, Angelo Caro, Gustavo Ribeiro, Felipe Gustavo and Manny Santiago. PSL replaces confusing judged scorecards with an easy-to-follow, higher-pressure format: a no-judge, team-based game of SKATE overseen by a referee who confirms trick completion. Matches run four quarters, three-on-three — one team sets a trick on offense, the other must match it; a miss concedes a point, and the offense keeps setting tricks until it misses three, at which point possession flips. After a five-week regular season (Feb 7 – Mar 14, all at Primitive Skatepark) the top four teams advanced to the single-night Championship. In the semifinals, No. 2 seed SHS beat No. 3 Tropics 10–5 and No. 1 seed Wolverines beat No. 4 Soldiers 15–12. In the first-ever PSL Championship Final, SHS — captained by Paul Rodriguez, with Julian Christianson (the night's leading scorer at 29 points), Jonny Hernandez and Julian Agliardi skating the deciding matches — upset the top-seeded Wolverines 11–9 to be crowned the inaugural PSL champions. Every week, including the Finals, was broadcast live on the PSL YouTube channel in collaboration with Red Bull Skateboarding, and the full 'PSL Finals — Win or Go Home' championship broadcast remains available on replay.
