Thrasher Magazine's Death Match returns to Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown for a one-night desert skate-and-music event built around the venue's Widowmaker mini-ramp. The skateboard contest runs during the event and is invitation-only: the ramp is not open to public riding this year, and no athlete roster, heat order, judging format or prize structure has been published. Spectators can watch the contest and two-stage concert program. The all-ages outdoor stage features Circle Jerks, Melvins, Pain of Truth, Necrot, Upchuck and XCOMM; the indoor stage features Purest Form and Hot Load but is restricted to guests 21 and older and is first come, first served. DJs The Blackouts, Lee Spielman and Nuge are also announced. Doors open at 4:00 PM PDT and the show starts at 4:45 PM. The official ticket page currently marks the event sold out and offers a waitlist for possible late ticket releases; joining the waitlist is not a ticket. Face value is listed as $65, while service fees are not publicly disclosed. All attendees need a valid government-issued photo ID, guests under 18 must remain with an adult, and sales are final. The high-desert venue is roughly 120 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, within TrickBook's regional radius, and the annual Thrasher production is a distinctive Southern California destination event rather than a routine concert listing.
