Salt Life WSA Championship Tour Stop #3 — Huntington Beach Make-Up 2027

Western Surfing Association has rescheduled its cancelled October Stop #3 for January 2–3, 2027 at the 9th Street surf break in Huntington Beach. All entries from the October 10–11 occurrence were automatically transferred to the make-up weekend; competitors who cannot attend may email mia@surfwsa.org to move their entry to a different WSA event. The replacement SurfSignup page is also accepting new entries now and lists 34 shortboard, longboard, Micro Grom push-in, waveski and para-surfing divisions from age six-and-under through open and 50+ categories at $90 or $100 per division. Online registration closes December 30, 2026 at 11:59 AM Pacific. Current WSA membership, the participant workflow, liability waiver and proof-of-age rules still apply. The event remains a regular-season, open-entry stop rather than an invitation-only championship. WSA’s calendar lists the event range from Saturday at 6:00 AM through Sunday at 7:00 AM, but no heat draw, division-day assignment, check-in sequence, finals time or awards time is published; the Sunday endpoint should not be treated as a complete run of show. Spectators can plan for public-beach viewing without an announced WSA ticket, while parking, accessible beach staging and the final swell/tide briefing remain TBA. The original October contest was cancelled for hazardous surf and current, so all riders and families should recheck WSA before travel.
At a glance
Open to competitors who purchase current WSA membership, pay the event entry fee, sign the waiver, and satisfy a listed division. The regular-season make-up stop is not invitation-only. Division age is determined as of January 1, 2027, and proof of age is required. Some categories are gender-specific; para divisions are open to male and female competitors. Youth shortboard divisions can contribute toward USA Surfing Prime and Championship pathways under the current WSA rulebook.
