About this event

CASL Contest #8 is the October stop of the 2026 SoCal Amateur Skateboard League, now confirmed for La Quinta X Park on Saturday and Sunday, October 17–18, 2026. This is a material venue correction: the current September 7 organizer schedule replaces the earlier Fontana South lead with La Quinta X Park. CASL calls Southern California its original league and the longest-running amateur skateboard league, with a monthly contest environment designed for young first-time competitors through advanced amateurs. La Quinta X Park is a 40,000-square-foot concrete action park at 46170 Dune Palms Road with street-plaza terrain, bowls and transitions. CASL’s current rules use three judges and a 0–100 scale. Standard Park/Mini Ramp and Bowl/Vert divisions receive two 45-second runs, while standard Street divisions receive two one-minute runs; the best run counts, with the other run and then a one-run skate-off used for award-position ties. Girls Advanced and Open Advanced use three 45-second Park/Vert runs, while Street uses two one-minute runs plus five single-trick attempts, combining the best run and two best tricks out of 300. The event is upcoming, but Contest #8 does not yet have a Liveheats event or registration action: the SoCASL events page currently lists Contest #7 as the only upcoming stop. Therefore entry is not labeled closed or sold out. Contest #8 prices, deadline, capacity, waitlist, on-site entry, exact division slate, daily heat order, check-in, awards time and spectator admission have not been announced. CASL’s current 2026 waiver remains available, and the venue separately requires a park waiver before a first session. X Park currently publishes weekend operating hours of 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, but those are venue hours, not confirmed contest hours. Competitors and spectators should watch the exact CASL schedule post, @casl.usf and the SoCASL Liveheats page for the event-specific entry page and final weekend program before travel.
