About this event

Outdoor Fitness Coach and Quick n’ Dirty MTB close their three-part 2026 Filthy 50 reconnaissance series with the Donut Ride on Sunday, October 11. The official five-hour window runs 9:00 AM–2:00 PM Pacific time. This is the final coach-led course preview before the October 31 Filthy 50 race: riders will travel the westbound portion of the course while working through race-day pacing, fueling and hydration, equipment checks, confidence, and strategy. The organizer describes the Donut Ride as a long-running Southern California tradition and expects a larger group with a wide range of abilities. Riders preparing for either the 30-mile or 50-mile Filthy 50 are welcome on mountain bikes or drop-bar bikes, with the instruction to ride their own pace rather than treat the recon as a scored race. Coffee and donuts will be available before the group rolls. The official Register control links to a public Outdoor Fitness Coach Club event on Strava; its logged-out page currently offers a working “Sign up to join” flow, but the event fee, deadline, capacity, waiver and minor/guardian rules are not published. The same Strava event explicitly says “LOCATION AND COURSE COMING SOON,” with a null address and no route attached, so TrickBook does not invent a meeting point. The venue is honestly labeled as the Filthy 50 westbound course in the Escondido-area San Dieguito River Park, with exact arrival instructions still TBA. This is a regional Los Angeles-area event roughly 110 road miles from central Los Angeles at a specialized North County San Diego mountain-bike course.
