About this event
SoCal Youth Cycling League has confirmed Victory at Vail, Race 4 of Season 19, for Saturday and Sunday, March 20–21, 2027 at Vail Lake Resort in Temecula. The two-day cross-country mountain-bike weekend serves registered middle-school and high-school league riders, including independent riders, with girls’ and boys’ fields from entry-level middle-school categories through high-school varsity. The current official card confirms the dates, venue and status, while the race flyer, daily field assignments, start waves, course map, GPX files, lap counts, callups, pit map, check-in windows and awards schedule remain unpublished. Season 19 registration is live through LeagueApps. Riders must complete league registration and required waivers—with a parent or legal-guardian signature when under 18—and later complete Race 4 entry when the organizer publishes its checkout. The visible $0 Free Agent option is not represented as the Race 4 price. Race-specific fees, deadline, capacity, waitlist, refund cutoff and same-day entry policy remain TBA. The generic “RACE REGISTRATION” button currently displayed on the schedule page resolves to the completed October 17, 2026 SkyPark Shredfest and is intentionally not retained as a Race 4 CTA. Racing uses a mass-start XC circuit over mixed terrain. Riders need a non-electric multi-gear mountain bike, working front and rear brakes, knobby tires, intact bar-end plugs and stem cap, enclosed footwear, an approved fastened helmet and the official number plate. No headphones, outside assistance or backward course riding is allowed; feeds are limited to authorized feed zones. Exact Victory at Vail laps and weather adjustments will come from the organizer’s flyer and race officials. Vail Lake Resort directs general day visitors to the designated pool parking area and lists dawn-to-dusk activity access, but race-day entrances, parking charges, team load-in, pit allocation, food service and accessible viewing are still TBA. Event camping is booked separately by phone at (951) 303-0173, and the league warns this busy venue can sell out quickly. General resort camping policies are not race instructions and should be reconfirmed before travel. Temecula is in Riverside County and is within this inventory’s core Inland Empire scope.
At a glance
Registered K-12 league participants may take part in season programming, but the published race categories are middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12). Middle-school races and high-school series races are open to riders in good standing with their team and the league, including independent riders; no extra Race 4 qualification is required.
